Farmison & Co supply a wide range of different cuts of meat to suit all tastes and family sizes. Their meat is from small specialist producers and wherever possible it is free range and sometimes organic. The meat tastes great and is delivered chilled and specially packed ready to eat or suitable for freezing.
Part of the box of meat that I received from Farmison & Co was 500gm of mince. As soon as I took the mince out of the packaging I was impressed with it.
Beautiful colour without that supermarket redness, fresh meat smell and very, very lean.
The one thing I have from my early married days (first time that is) is a Tupperware burger press. Yess, that's right Tupperware from the late 70s. My dad always made our own burgers and after I got married I continued to make my own and eventually bought a burger press at a Tupperwarde party one of my friends had. I used this to make our own burgers and have never been one to buy burgers ready made from the supermarket. Just as well, with all the scandals these days too.
Anyway, the burger press is one of the few things that has followed me from life to new life and I continue to make my own burgers. Sometime I add herbs and spices and chilli etc.but when I opened the Farmison minced beef I just wanted to keep it simple.
Final result, a simple and very tasty supper, just perfect after the day we had cleaning out the shed and a couple of hours on the allotment!
