August: Bites (and sips) and Pieces

Every week I get sent some great products which are worthy of sharing with you.  Below you will find some recent mention-worthy items that I liked.

Charles Viancin -Inspired by Nature collection:-
Every now and then a product comes along that really tickles my fancy! Charles Viancin has a range of products that do just that.  His range of silicone mats come in a variety of fruit, vegetable and flower designs and are made to keep the bugs out of your food, freshness in and to keep hot drinks hot for longer and insulate cold drinks to keep them at a cooler temperature for longer.,
The lids, Tomato 9", Artichoke 11" and Eggplant 8" will all create an airtight lid to keep freshness in and the elements out. They can also be used when cooking in pots and pans, are microwave, stovetop, dishwasher and oven safe (up to 220oC)

I was also sent the new Poppy Trivet/Pot Holder from the new Poppy range.  I love the feel of this mat, it kind of tickles my fingers as I use it!
Also in the new vegetable range are liquid tight Bottle Stoppers of little artichokes, tomato and eggplant.

I was sent some drink covers answering my prayers to keep the flies and wasps out of my coffee in the garden.. I hate it when you walk away from your drink in the garden to do a bit of maintenance and come back to a fly or other insect floating on top.  With the Charles Viancin drink covers this won't be a problem. They come in most of their ranges.
Sainsburys have re-vamped their Taste The Difference range of sausages.  All varieties are now gluten free which is great news for those who cannot normally eat sausages due to the rusk fillers.  Of course less fillers also means more meat.  I love the chipolatas those thin sausages so perfect for breakfast!
Another new feature is that all of the range will come in two packs so you can eat one and freeze one.
I was also able to get some Sicilian Inspired British Pork Sausages which I used in my Pasta with Sausages.  I pan fried them first, made the sauce then put them back into the sauce and simmered for about 45 minutes.
My finished Friday night pasta with sausages!
Divine Chocolate is a Fairtrade chocolate producer. The chocolate is all suitable for vegetarians and ethically sources and the company is owned by the cocoa farmers themselves. Two new ranges are now available which are superb for baking. A 38% milk chocolate bar and 78% dark chocolate - perfect for brownies!

If you fancy winning a set of these two bars of chocolate and a very glitzy tea-towel keep a look out for a blog giveaway coming soon.
Dr Paw Paw has a range of three multi-purpose and soothing balms which are suitable for lips, skin, hair, nails and other beauty finishing.
The balms provide much needed relief for chapped and dry skin. Perfect to keep lips, nails and cuticles moisturised and also offer relief to dry cracked hands, elbows and heels.  The clear is perfect to use where ever you don't want to add any other colour however the red
and peach give you a healthy glow to lips and can be used as a delicate blusher as well.
A favourite ingredient is pawpaw or papaya which is also used in Dr PAWPAW 7 in 1 hair treatment.with a combined coconut and mango fragrance to give heat protection when blow drying, detangles, reduces frizz and add shine among other benefits.

Kuhn Rikon have just released a new collection of knives. These knives have a Titanium coating and are made from an ice-hardened Japanese stainless steel. They have a long lasting sharpness and are very, very sharp!  Each knife in the range has a protective cover so you don't stab yourself reaching into the kitchen drawer to get one out.  The knives in this range are dishwasher safe but as with any good knife you are recommended to wash by hand and dry immediately.
I was sent a Pairing Knife which has a RRP of £12.90 and is available in graphite, silver and rose gold.
And finally ... Kettle Chips , known for their hand cooked gourmet potato snacks have a new flavour in their Limited Edition range - Chorizo and Feta Cheese.and Olive
I found these were overpowered by the chorizo flavour and couldn't really taste the feta cheese or the olives. I do like the lovely crunch you get with Kettle Chips though.
This is just a selection of the products I have received.  I was not paid to write a positive review of any of them and as usual all opinions and photos are my own.
