Spam - Bonfire Night Delight

Bonfire night and Fireworks night you are outside in the bitter cold having a great time but when you return inside you need something warming to eat.

I was sent some Spam to try and thought what a great idea to team it with some jacket potatoes and salad to warm up the happy crew!

First of all I popped some baking potatoes in the oven, rubbed lightly with rapeseed oil and sprinkled with fresh rosemary chopped and salt&pepper.  They went into the oven.

Next a chunky salad with iceberg lettuce roughly chopped and a dressing made by pouring over some rapeseed oil, salt and pepper and sprinkled with white wine vinegar. Mix well.

Spam is something I sort of remember from when I first came to this country but we never really had it at home.  First of all it has a new and modern packaging, easy to open and easy to get out of the tub.

Slice it

and fry it till slightly browned

and then I served it with the potatoes and salad.

Warmed everyone up right to the core!

SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham is now available in an easy to open 200g tub (RRP of £1.79), which complements the existing 200g (RRP £1.79) and 340g cans (RRP £1.99).   Available from all major UK supermarkets.

I was sent the Spam to try and was not required to write a positive review.
