Fun and Food at The Lounge Odeon Cinema - El Jeffe (The Chef)

I love going to the cinema to see the latest release so attending the preview of El Jefe (The Chef) was an event not to be missed.

My pal Val and I were invited to watch the film at the Odeon Cinema, Whiteley's Department Store, Bayswater Road in West London.
The Lounge is a collection of five small screening rooms upstairs in the cinema, each seating only 48 peoplewhere you pay a bit more to have the availability of a great bar and fine food whilst seated by just pushing a button.

The Lounge is perfect for corporate events, presentations, team building, birthday parties and more.
and luxurious seats you can order snacks from your seat.
Before the show we were offered Cuban cocktails to tie in with the Cuban theme of the film.
Coco Loco - Havana 3 yr old run, amaretto, maliby, grenadine, pineapple and coconut puree
Little Prince - perfect blend of Havana 7 year old rum and sweet vermouth
During the film we were served 'Cubanos' Cuban sandwiches featured in the film.
I loved the luxury and the convenience of The Lounge.

The film El Jefe features John Favreau (who wrote and directed the film as well as starred in it) as Carl Casper, a chef who finds it impossible to continue working for his boss (Dustin Hoffman) and after suffering a humiliation from a bad review from one of the top restaurant critic bloggers he quits. Following some persuasion from his ex-wife he collects and renovates a food van with the help of his son, played by the emerging actor Emjay Anthony.

The pair, along with good friend drive the food van home from Miami to LA and with the help of the boy's posts on a Twitter and Facebook alerting the cities on route, the food truck is an outstanding success. They eventually end up serving the critic who loves the food and the pair strike up a partnership but I don't want to give away the ending!

The film also stars Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, Dustin Hoffman, Oliver Platt, Robert Downey Jr.

I was the guest of The Lounge and did not receive any payment. All opinions and photos are my own.
